Blocking doesn't seem to work
Onyx blocks through Apple's Screen Time, which needs two things: a real iPhone (the simulator can't block), and the Screen Time permission you grant on first launch. If you ever turned that permission off under Settings → Screen Time → Apps with Screen Time access, Onyx asks for it again the next time you start a block.
Why is 15 minutes the shortest block?
Apple's Screen Time system doesn't run blocks shorter than 15 minutes. That limit comes from iOS, not from Onyx. Rather than pretend, the app simply doesn't offer them.
What exactly does Monk mode do?
A monk block has no stop button, freezes the app list it started with, and stops apps from being deleted (Onyx included) until the timer ends. Start one only when you mean it. There is no way out, that's the point.
How does the free trial work?
The 7-day trial is Apple's free week on the yearly plan. Apple charges nothing for 7 days, then the yearly price, unless you cancel first under Settings → your name → Subscriptions. Cancelling during the trial costs nothing.
What happens if my subscription ends?
Starting new blocks locks until you subscribe again, but you always keep control: running schedules can be switched off at any time, paid or not. Nothing ever stays blocked behind a paywall.
I bought Pro on another phone
Open the paywall (or the Pro badge on the Block tab) and tap Restore. Pro follows your Apple ID, not your phone.
What data does Onyx have about me?
None. No account, no analytics, everything stays on your device. The details are in the privacy policy.
